Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Equipment

  • 1 Slow Cooker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Pork Shoulder 2-3 lbs
  • Salt and Pepper as desired
  • 1 Onion quartered
  • 1 7 oz can Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
  • 1 12 oz can Cherry Cola
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth or Stock

Instructions
 

  • Salt and pepper the pork shoulder to taste and place in slow cooker fat cap up.
  • Quarter and onion and add to slow cooker.
  • Dump in a can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.
  • Pour in a can of cherry cola and the chicken stock/broth.
  • Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 6 to 8 hours.
  • When done, pork should be fork tender and pull apart easily.
  • It can be used for multiple meals like pulled pork sandwiches or topping for baked potatoes or nachos.
